Desiree Perez- Changemaker for Good

Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation has a clear and decisive vision of the future of her company. As one of the five founders of Roc Nation, she served as Chief Operating Officer for 10 years before being appointed as CEO. Not one to rest on her laurels, she has developed a plan for the future of the company that far exceeds what might be expected.


Ms. Perez has a strong moral compass that has her leading the company toward cementing and advancing the role of women of color and indigenous people both within her company and in society. Some of the social justice programs that she has instituted within the company include a scholarship program for black and brown students. Another very important project for Desiree Perez is working with families who have been victims of police brutality.

As Desiree Perez looks forward to working with a new generation, she focuses on Latinx women and people of color to give them the power they have within them to succeed. An exciting new and expanding project for her and Roc Nation, Ms. Perez has forged a strong relationship with Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. She has created the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports and Entertainment.

In her role as an agent for positive disruption, she is eager to advance Roc Nation’s influence in the field of television, publishing and film. Desiree Perez does not know how to just stand still and enjoy her success. She continues to work hard to move her company forward and bring societal change for people of color.
